Joshua Smith is a New Orleans based multi-instrumentalist who performs in a variety of highly skilled ensembles. He performs with his own jazz groups, and bluegrass band, as well as working as a sideman for countless bands and gigs.

He has been teaching music for over twenty five years and has watched many of his students develop a gratifying lifelong relationship with music, professionally and otherwise... Joshua has taught jazz improvisation workshop at colleges like UC Berkeley, Santa Fe University of Art and Design, University of Arizona, SUNY Fredonia, and more... He's also, been a classroom teacher for Young Audiences, and he has long held a roster of students on piano, guitar, drums, and saxophone for the past 2 decades.
